Welcome to WeatherBlend.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information WeatherBlend processes, why it is processed, how it is protected, and your rights regarding your personal data.
WeatherBlend is designed to provide accurate weather information by combining data from multiple trusted weather providers. The application is built with privacy in mind and minimizes the amount of personal information processed.

2. Information We Process
WeatherBlend collects as little information as possible. Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be processed.
Current Location
If you choose to allow location access, WeatherBlend may access your device's precise location to retrieve local weather information.
Location access is completely optional. If permission is denied, you can still search for and use any location manually.
Search Queries
When searching for a city or location, the search text is sent to the Open-Meteo Geocoding API in order to return matching locations.
The search query is not stored by WeatherBlend.
Favorite Locations
Locations you save as favorites are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to WeatherBlend servers.
Cached Weather Data
To improve performance and reduce network usage, recent weather data may be cached locally on your device. Cached information is automatically replaced as new weather information becomes available.
Widgets and Apple Watch
Weather information may be shared locally between the iPhone application, Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, and Apple Watch.
This synchronization uses Apple's App Groups and WatchConnectivity frameworks. No WeatherBlend server is involved.
3. Third-Party Services
WeatherBlend retrieves weather information from trusted third-party providers. Depending on the requested feature, your location coordinates or search query may be sent directly to one or more of the following services.

WeatherBlend does not control how these providers process information once requests are received. Users are encouraged to review each provider's own privacy policy where applicable.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
WeatherBlend does not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, home address, contacts, photos, messages, calendar information, payment information, health information, advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting information, browsing history, analytics events or usage profiles.
5. Analytics and Tracking
WeatherBlend does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, AppsFlyer, Facebook SDK, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, third-party cookies, user profiling or personalized advertising.
WeatherBlend does not track users.
6. Crash Reporting
At the time of this Privacy Policy, WeatherBlend does not use third-party crash reporting services.
If crash reporting is introduced in a future release, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such functionality becomes active.
7. Local Storage
WeatherBlend stores certain information locally on your device to provide application functionality.

- Apple Watch synchronization data
This information remains on your device unless you remove the application or clear its stored data.
8. Legal Basis under GDPR
For users located in the European Economic Area, WeatherBlend processes personal data under the following legal bases:
Article 6(1)(a) – Consent: Your precise location is accessed only after you explicitly grant permission through iOS.
Article 6(1)(b) – Performance of a Contract: Location and weather requests are necessary to provide the weather information requested by you.
9. International Data Transfers
Some weather providers may operate servers outside your country. When WeatherBlend requests weather information, your location coordinates may be transmitted to those providers in accordance with their own infrastructure and privacy practices.
WeatherBlend itself does not maintain servers that store your personal information.
10. Data Retention
WeatherBlend does not maintain user accounts or cloud databases.
Weather information cached on your device is retained only as necessary for normal application functionality and is periodically replaced automatically. Favorite locations remain on your device until you delete them or remove the application.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, including the GDPR, you may have the right to withdraw location permission at any time, request information about personal data processing, request deletion of locally stored data by deleting the application, and object to certain processing where applicable.
Because WeatherBlend stores almost all information locally, most data can be removed simply by deleting the application or removing saved locations.
12. Children's Privacy
WeatherBlend is intended for general audiences. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Security
WeatherBlend uses Apple's security framework and encrypted HTTPS connections whenever supported by the data provider.
No user accounts or cloud databases are maintained by WeatherBlend.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date shown at the top of this document.
